About the Role

  • Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop for storefronts, curtain walls, and door frames.
  • Supervise, mentor, and assign tasks to a team of fabricators and installers.
  • Review and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Ensure workflow efficiency, meet project deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Manage inventory, materials, and stock levels to support continuous production.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with building codes.
  • Troubleshoot production or installation issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of precision, quality, and teamwork across all shop operations.

About the Candidate

  • Proven experience supervising a fabrication shop producing commercial storefronts, curtain walls, and door frames.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, and installation processes for aluminum and glass systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Skilled in managing workflow, delegating tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and keeping materials and stock organized.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, quality standards, and building code compliance.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead a team of fabricators and installers.
  • Problem-solving skills to address production or installation issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and crew members.
