Our client is an established Texas-based general contractor with a strong presence in the commercial and light industrial construction sector. With a focus on quality, safety and dependable project delivery, the business has built a reputation for taking a hands-on approach to construction and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project partners.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead the on-site construction delivery of a 95,000-square-foot self-storage development in Austin, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven construction professional with a strong background in light industrial, commercial, warehouse or self-storage projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from site mobilisation through to practical completion and handover.
• Develop, manage and drive the construction programme to achieve key milestones and overall project deadlines.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the project.
• Oversee quality control, inspections, testing and commissioning, ensuring works meet project specifications and applicable building codes.
• Coordinate civil works, foundations, structural systems, building envelope, roofing, internal fit-out, MEP installations and external works.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Superintendent, Superintendent or General Superintendent on commercial, light industrial, warehouse or self-storage construction projects.
• Demonstrable experience delivering ground-up construction projects, ideally in the 75,000–150,000 SF range.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, subcontractor coordination and programme management.
• Experience overseeing civil, structural, architectural and MEP trades.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements, site safety procedures and applicable Texas building codes.
