About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager / Estimator to lead all preconstruction and estimating efforts across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. This role is ideal for a well-rounded professional who can blend strong technical estimating knowledge with outstanding client presentation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all phases of the preconstruction process, including conceptual estimating, design development pricing, and detailed bid preparation.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Confidently prepare and present estimates during client meetings – excellent presentation skills are essential.
Lead internal estimating teams, mentoring junior estimators and ensuring consistency and accuracy across all deliverables.
Develop value engineering options and cost-saving strategies to align design intent with budget parameters.
Participate in bid reviews, subcontractor selection, and proposal preparation.
Work closely with project management teams to ensure a smooth handoff from preconstruction through construction.

About the Candidate

8+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating with a general contractor.
Strong background in commercial construction(office, retail, industrial, institutional, or mixed-use).
Proven ability to manage multiple estimates and deliver accurate conceptual pricing.
Exceptional communication and client presentation skills.
Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
