About the Role
- Leading all aspects of the mechanical estimating process from RIBA Stage 2 onwards
- Developing bid strategies alongside the Commercial Director
- Reviewing enquiry documentation, identifying risks/opportunities, and coordinating take-offs
- Managing supply chain relationships and subcontractor packages
- Presenting tender submissions and supporting post-tender clarifications
- Providing input on consultant design and value engineering options
About the Candidate
We are seeking a candidate with at least 10 years of experience
in mechanical estimating within the building services industry. You should have:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in both residential and commercial sectors
- Experience as a lead estimator on projects exceeding £10 million (mechanical value)
- The ability to read and comment on consultant designs from RIBA Stage 2
- A commercially astute approach with great attention to detail
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, capable of working closely with clients and internal teams
