Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team at our client headquarters in Miami, FL who are a well established GC serving South Floirda. This role is responsible for leading estimating efforts on large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on high-rise and multifamily developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for high-rise, multifamily, and large-scale construction projects valued at $100M+.
• Prepare detailed conceptual estimates, budgets, bid packages, and GMP proposals.
• Manage the full bid administration process, including subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, scope review, leveling, and recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain in-house budgets, cost models, and estimate documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope, risks, gaps, and cost impacts.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Ensure the flow of preconstruction information is maintained, documented, and communicated clearly to all stakeholders.
• Support proposal development, bid submissions, and client presentations.
• Conduct follow-up with subcontractors and vendors to ensure complete and competitive pricing.
• Assist with bid closing, final pricing, clarifications, exclusions, and qualifications.
• Lead project turnover from preconstruction to operations, ensuring all estimating assumptions, budgets, and scope details are clearly communicated.
• Maintain and develop strong subcontractor relationships and market knowledge.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
• Support subcontractor management, including tracking coverage, performance, and pricing trends.
• Utilize estimating software and construction technology tools; BIM experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Proven experience estimating high-rise and multifamily projects.
• Experience with projects valued at $100M+.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience or training will also be considered.
• Strong experience with bids, proposals, GMPs, budgets, and preconstruction deliverables.
• Bilingual skills required.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, trade scopes, and market pricing.
• Experience managing subcontractor bid processes and scope leveling.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and related construction management tools.
• BIM experience preferred.

They are confident leading bid efforts, managing subcontractor relationships, preparing GMPs, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. They should be bilingual, highly organized, and capable of supporting projects from early budgeting through final project turnover.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical estimating expertise, strong subcontractor relationships, and the ability to manage bids, budgets, GMPs, and preconstruction deliverables from concept through project turnover.

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing, competitive bids, and a smooth flow of preconstruction information both internally and externally.
