Senior Estimator

A leading commercial drywall and interior systems contractor on the East Coast is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Drywall Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team.

With a strong reputation in the commercial construction market and an expanding project portfolio, this business delivers large-scale drywall, metal framing and interior systems projects across multiple states. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to play a key role in a company experiencing significant growth while working on high-profile commercial projects.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and complete bid proposals for commercial drywall and framing projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Produce accurate pricing for drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings and interior systems.
• Assess labour requirements, material costs and project risks.
• Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews and preconstruction meetings.
• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining project profitability.
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines across a range of commercial projects.
• Support smooth project handovers to the operations team following award.

• Minimum 5 years' experience estimating commercial drywall and metal framing projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial drywall systems, rated assemblies and field installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience using estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Quick Bid or similar platforms.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Commercial construction estimating experience is essential.
