About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Roofing and Cladding Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple roofing and cladding projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of roofing and cladding projects from inception to completion.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, architects, surveyors, and subcontractors.

  • Manage and coordinate site teams, including direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring efficient and safe working practices.

  • Monitor project progress against agreed programmes, identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues proactively.

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial targets are met.

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and company procedures.

  • Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management.

  • Manage variations and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor quality and progress.

  • Ensure the timely completion of snagging lists and project handover.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

 

About the Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the roofing and cladding industry is essential.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various roofing and cladding systems and their installation methods.

  • Strong understanding of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and quality standards.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate site teams.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

  • Sound commercial awareness and financial management skills.

  • CSCS card holder (Manager level preferred).

  • SMSTS qualification is highly desirable.

  • Full UK driving license.

  • Experience of working on industrial, commercial, retail, and leisure projects is advantageous.
