Our client is a well-established and highly respected mechanical contractor based in the Tampa Bay area, specializing in HVAC systems for commercial and institutional projects across Florida. With a strong project pipeline and a reputation for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team.

- Lead and manage HVAC scopes of work on commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to project closeout
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, profitable delivery
- Collaborate with general contractors, engineers, and internal field teams to coordinate installations
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications; ensure work complies with code and project requirements
- Manage subcontractors, material procurement, RFIs, and change orders
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally on-site and in meetings
- Drive project documentation, reporting, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
About the Candidate
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical project management within commercial construction
- Proven track record managing multiple projects or large-scale scopes independently
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, chillers, RTUs, and controls
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical codes, permitting, and safety protocols
- Proficient in reading blueprints, specifications, and using project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Local to Tampa or willing to relocate
