Position Overview

Our client, a leading commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Dallas, TX. This individual will oversee ground-up commercial construction projects, with a primary focus on retail and industrial developments ranging in value from $5 million to $30 million.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing projects from preconstruction through completion, with the ability to lead project teams, manage subcontractors, maintain budgets and schedules, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ground-up retail and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and overall project execution.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Monitor project costs, identify potential risks, and implement cost-control measures.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications.
• Oversee project documentation, reporting, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality requirements.
• Drive projects toward successful completion while maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Proven experience managing ground-up retail and industrial construction projects.
• Experience overseeing projects ranging from $5 million to $30 million.
• Strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and project teams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction project management software and scheduling tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
