About the Role

You will lead, coordinate, and oversee drywall and metal framing projects from pre-construction through to close-out. Your goal is to deliver on time, within budget, safely and to the required quality standards, interfacing with field staff, subcontractors, clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, contract documents and ensure accurate understanding of scope, materials, timeline, & deliverables.

  • Develop project plan including schedule, resource allocation, procurement of materials (including specialty items), and coordinate subcontractors.

  • Work with foremen / field leads to plan the job set-up, material deliveries, site logistics, sequencing to minimize waste and eliminate bottlenecks.

  • Monitor day-to-day field operations: verify that work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards; visit sites regularly.

  • Handle change orders, RFIs, submittals; maintain accurate documentation in job folders; maintain logs of changes, extra work, delays.

  • Track labor hours, material usage, equipment costs and overall job cost; compare against budgets; manage forecasted vs. actuals.

  • Coordinate with accounting / procurement to ensure POs, invoices, and payment terms are handled correctly.

  • Prepare/pay applications, punch-lists and project close?out documentation; conduct post-job review.

  • Communicate with clients, general contractors, internal teams to keep stakeholders updated on job progress, risks, delays.

  • Ensure safety compliance: enforce company and regulatory safety policies; oversee site safety; ensure staff / subs are trained / certified as required.

About the Candidate

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years experience managing drywall / metal framing construction projects (or similar) in the field.

  • Strong familiarity with commercial construction methods, materials, safety regulations, building codes.

  • Good understanding of reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, plan sets.

  • Competence in project management, scheduling tools & software; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project documentation systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions under pressure, adapt to changing conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.


Preferred / Desirable

  • Experience with specialty drywall / finishes.

  • Previous work with subcontractors and managing crews of various sizes.

  • Safety certifications (e.g. OSHA 30 in US context, or relevant local certification).

  • Experience in commercial sector vs. residential.

  • Ability to read & use estimating software or tools.
