Project Executive – Commercial Drywall & Building Envelope

Alexandria, VA / Mid-Atlantic Region

A leading specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Project Executive to oversee the successful delivery of major commercial construction projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established contractor specialising in drywall, rainscreen systems, EIFS, stucco, restoration and exterior envelope solutions. You'll provide strategic leadership across multiple projects, supporting Project Managers, Superintendents and executive leadership while ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest quality standards. The company operates throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southern U.S. from offices in Virginia, Texas and New Jersey.

The Role

• Provide executive oversight across multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers and operations teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Oversee project financial performance, forecasting and profitability.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, General Contractors, architects and consultants.
• Review contracts, budgets, schedules and procurement strategies.
• Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain programme and budget objectives.
• Support business development efforts, client presentations and preconstruction activities.
• Ensure company safety, quality and operational standards are maintained across all projects.
• Report directly to senior leadership on project performance and operational objectives.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in commercial construction, with significant experience in drywall, exterior envelope, façades or specialty contracting.
• Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager or Project Executive.
• Proven track record managing multiple large-scale commercial projects simultaneously.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling and risk management.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with owners, developers and General Contractors.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
