Overview
A leading specialty contractor focused on walls, ceilings, and interior/exterior systems is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its Orlando team. This role offers strong exposure to complex commercial projects across sectors including healthcare, hospitality, themed environments, and education.

The business is known for delivering high-quality drywall, metal framing, plaster, and façade solutions, working closely with top general contractors across the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in the delivery of multiple construction projects
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams
• Help manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Track project schedules and support progress reporting
• Attend project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
• Assist with procurement and material tracking
• Conduct site visits to ensure alignment between field and office operations

Requirements

• 1–4 years’ experience in construction (project engineering, APM, or similar)
• Exposure to drywall, metal framing, ceilings, or building envelope scopes preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of project financials and scheduling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience working with subcontractors or specialty trades
• Familiarity with commercial, healthcare, hospitality, or themed construction projects
• Interest in progressing into a full Project Manager role
