Project Engineer

My client is a leading Fenestration specialist covering the New York City and Long Island areas.

They are in the market for an experienced Project Engineer / Designer to join their team to play a crucial role in their engineering process.

• Develop precise shop drawings based on project specs, plans, and field measurements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet design and installation requirements.
• Use CAD software to create 2D/3D drawings and installation details.
• Conduct on-site visits for detailing measurements and assess existing conditions.
• Revise drawings based on feedback, modifications, and challenges.
• Coordinate with the installation team and provide necessary documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the glazing industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and architectural drafting principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques for window and door installations.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex plans.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
• On-site support and visits in the NYC area.
