Pre Construction Manager

Our client
is a well-established and highly respected general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects throughout Dallas and across Texas.

With a diverse portfolio spanning education, commercial, retail, and industrial construction, the company delivers projects ranging from smaller developments through to complex projects valued at $70 million+.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to add an experienced Preconstruction Manager to their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process from initial concept and budgeting through to contract award.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Assist with bid strategy, subcontractor negotiations, and contract award recommendations.
• Lead preconstruction meetings and client presentations.
• Provide clear reporting on project budgets, cost changes, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist with project scheduling and phasing strategies.
• Support the transition from preconstruction into construction, ensuring the project team has a clear understanding of scope, budget, schedule, and commitments.

• 4+ years of commercial construction experience, with significant experience in preconstruction.
• Previous experience with a general contractor is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience managing preconstruction activities on projects ranging from $25M to $90M+.
• Experience across sectors such as education, commercial, retail, industrial, or similar.
• Strong understanding of estimating, construction means and methods, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor markets.
• Ability to effectively review and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings.
