Plumbing Estimator

They have an extensive amount of experience in all aspects of mechanical systems; budgeting, design, installation and service, allowing them to partner with the entire construction team to minimize hassles and simplify the construction process.
Their clients depend on their abilities to design, price and install mechanical systems for their projects that provide their Clients with the most appropriate system for their facility. 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join our team in Greenville, SC. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in commercial plumbing estimating who is looking to contribute to a dynamic and growing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for plumbing systems across a range of commercial construction projects including restaurants, medical and dental offices, schools, tenant upfits, and ground-up builds.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

• Perform material takeoffs and create detailed bid proposals.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and scope.

• Maintain an up-to-date database of material, labor, and equipment costs.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

• Track and analyze bid results and make recommendations to improve estimating accuracy and win rates.

• Provide value engineering solutions and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in plumbing, with at least 5+ years in an estimating role (12+ preferred).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and commercial construction processes.
• Proven experience estimating projects ranging from $250K to $20M , with a focus on jobs under $1M.
• Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools).
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
