About the Client

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Director to oversee the entire operational function of a leading commercial scaffolding company. This pivotal role encompasses project delivery, health & safety, resource management, and operational strategy. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring all scaffolding projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of scaffolding projects, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and best practices, maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Manage labour, materials, and logistics effectively to ensure smooth and profitable project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Monitor operational budgets, control costs, and contribute to financial planning and forecasting.
  • Lead and mentor operational teams, promoting a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and adopt new technologies.

About the Candidate

  • Extensive experience in a senior operational role within the scaffolding, construction, or industrial services industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of scaffolding operations, regulations, and safety compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (CISRS, NEBOSH, SMSTS) are highly desirable.
