MEP Superintendent

An established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to support a range of projects across the Richmond area. This is an excellent opportunity for a superintendent from an MEP subcontractor background to transition into a GC environment, taking responsibility for complex building systems and coordinating specialist trades across healthcare, energy and industrial projects.

• Oversee and coordinate MEP installations across active construction projects.

• Manage specialist subcontractors, site teams, schedules, quality control and safety.

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical building systems, ensuring installations align with project specifications and programme requirements.

• Work closely with project management teams, engineers and trade partners to resolve technical issues and maintain progress.

• Support the delivery of healthcare, energy, manufacturing and industrial facilities.

• Coordinate complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including large-scale cooling systems, cooling towers, pipework and associated building services.

• Monitor progress, identify potential issues and ensure work is delivered to the required standards.

• 10+ years of construction industry experience.

• Strong MEP background, particularly in mechanical and electrical systems.

• Previous experience as an MEP Superintendent, Electrical Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent or similar.

• Experience across healthcare, energy, industrial or manufacturing projects.

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage subcontractor performance.

• Candidates from specialist MEP subcontractors looking to move into a general contractor environment are encouraged to apply.

• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work primarily across Richmond and the surrounding area, with limited travel.
