A respected commercial general contractor with a legacy of quality is searching for a  MEP Superintendent  to join its leadership team. This is a critical opportunity for a results-driven professional who excels at overseeing the day-to-day operations of complex commercial projects.

About the Role

  • Directly supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of all MEP subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to develop and enforce the project safety plan, paying special attention to high-risk MEP activities like electrical work, hot work, and equipment installation.
  • Monitor subcontractor staffing levels and field productivity to ensure adequate resources are on site to meet critical path deadlines.
  • Develop, manage, and update detailed, logic-driven schedules specifically for MEP activities, including rough-in, equipment delivery, connection, testing, and final closeout.
  • Coordinate the timely delivery, storage, and staging of all major MEP equipment (e.g., chillers, transformers, air handlers) and bulk materials.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and logs of MEP progress, milestones achieved, work stoppages, and any delays or conflicts, reporting progress regularly to the Project Manager.
  • Promptly identify and resolve field conflicts, RFIs (Requests for Information), and scope discrepancies in collaboration with the design team and subcontractors.

About the Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience as an MEP Superintendent, Field Engineer, or a similar senior supervisory role focused on complex commercial construction
  • Strong foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in  HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems ; experience with Fire/Life Safety and Low-Voltage systems is a significant plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related trade background/vocational training is typically required or preferred.
