A respected and steadily growing M&E contractor is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their dynamic and experienced team. Operating across the commercial refurbishment and new build sector, the company has developed a reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical packages through a hands-on, values-led approach.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of mechanical packages across a variety of projects including office fit-outs, CAT A/B refurbishments, educational facilities, healthcare, and light industrial schemes. Working closely with the Directors and senior management—who remain actively involved in project delivery—you’ll ensure smooth and efficient management from pre-construction through to handover.

- Manage and deliver mechanical packages on commercial projects from £1m to £10m+.
- Coordinate with in-house teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely delivery and high standards of workmanship.
- Oversee project planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure adherence to all health & safety and quality standards.
- Provide regular progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Drive value engineering opportunities and cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
About the Candidate
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the commercial M&E sector.
- Background in managing projects within office fit-out, refurbishments, healthcare, or similar environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Excellent leadership, client-facing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or a large single scheme from concept to completion.
