About the Client
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join a busy field team servicing Miami and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role covering new installations, retrofits and service/maintenance calls across CCTV, access control and burglar alarm systems. You’ll represent the company on site and be expected to deliver high-quality workmanship and accurate commissioning.
Key responsibilities:
- Install, wire, terminate and commission CCTV systems (analog & IP) — camera mounting, PoE/network setup, NVR/DVR configuration.
- Install and program access control systems (readers, controllers, door hardware) and integrate with panels (LenelS2/Honeywell experience advantageous).
- Install, service and fault-find burglar/intrusion alarm systems (control panels, sensors, keypads).
- Execute structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) runs, testing and documentation; maintain professional cable management.
- Complete service calls: diagnosing faults, replacing devices, performing scheduled maintenance.
- Produce accurate site reports, testing paperwork and handover documentation for clients and AHJs.
- Liaise with project managers, GCs and other trades to ensure smooth site delivery.
About the Candidate
- 2+ years field experience installing and servicing CCTV, access control and burglar alarm systems.
- Proven experience with CCTV (camera termination, IP networking), access control wiring/programming and intrusion systems.
- Strong cable discipline — terminations, testing (Fluke or equivalent) and tidy rack/box work.
- Comfortable with basic network setup for IP cameras (DHCP/static IPs, PoE switches, NVR setup).
- Own tools and PPE; clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
- Strong communication skills and professional onsite manner.
Preferred qualifications:
- Manufacturer/system experience: Honeywell, LenelS2, Hikvision, Axis, Bosch, DSC, etc.
- BICSI Installer or similar certification.
- OSHA 10 / 30, NICET (any level) or manufacturer training certificates.
- Experience with Bluebeam / mobile commissioning tools and service CRM.
