About the Client

We are a leading electrical services contractor delivering high-quality electrical construction, engineering support, and BIM solutions for commercial and industrial projects. Our team is committed to excellence, innovation, and collaboration, providing employees with opportunities to work on complex projects while supporting professional growth in a dynamic environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Electrical BIM Designer to support our electrical engineering and BIM teams. This role serves as the technical link between the electrical engineering team and the Revit drafting team, focusing on electrical system modeling, design coordination, and drawing production for commercial and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain electrical models in Autodesk Revit, assist with electrical layouts under engineer supervision, coordinate lighting and power systems, prepare drawing packages, perform quality reviews, and mentor junior team members. This is a technical, non-client-facing role that focuses on translating engineering intent into accurate, coordinated, and constructible BIM models and drawings.

About the Candidate

  • Proven experience using Autodesk Revit for electrical system modeling.
  • Experience with electrical design, drafting, or electrical construction is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical drafting standards.
  • Understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems and construction methods.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers and BIM teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve design coordination issues.
  • Experience preparing coordinated electrical drawing packages and supporting QA/QC processes.
  • Degree or technical training in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
