Glazing Estimator

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing fabrication and glazing contractor specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. Their work spans interior and exterior glass systems, storefronts and curtain walls, shower enclosures, custom mirrors, glass partitions, specialty glazing, architectural metals, custom stairs and glass railings, aluminum fencing, and specialty iron works. The company is committed to operational excellence, accountability, and maintaining a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

The Estimator will be a key member of the team, responsible for accurately assessing project scopes, preparing detailed and competitive estimates, and contributing to business growth. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of estimating experience in commercial or high-end residential construction, with a focus on glazing and storefront/curtain wall systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for storefronts, curtain walls, glass partitions, and specialty glazing systems.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure all project aspects are considered in bids.

• Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to optimize project value and profitability.

• Maintain detailed records of estimates, assumptions, and bid documents.

• Support revenue growth by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring accurate, timely bids.

• Assist in improving estimating processes and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience in construction (preferably glazing, storefronts, or curtain walls).

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project scopes.

• Proven experience preparing estimates for commercial and high-end residential projects.

• Solid negotiation and communication skills.

• Results-driven, detail-oriented, and organized.

• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
