About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join a leading commercial glazing contractor specialising in high-quality glass and glazing solutions for commercial projects including office buildings, healthcare facilities, educational campuses, retail, hospitality, and interior build-outs. The Estimator will play a key role in supporting the commercial team by preparing accurate, competitive cost proposals and helping secure new business across a broad project portfolio.

Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to fully understand project scope and requirements.
Measure and analyse project plans, conduct take-offs, and calculate materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and professional quotations for glazing works including curtain walls, storefronts, windows, doors, and other glass systems.
Liaise with architects, general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify project details, scope changes, and cost assumptions.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure feasibility of estimates.
Present estimates to the commercial manager or clients, explaining cost breakdowns and responding to queries.
Track changes in project documents and adjust estimates accordingly throughout the tender process.
Maintain accurate records of all estimating documentation and support hand-over of awarded projects to project delivery teams.

About the Candidate

Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in commercial glazing, fenestration, architectural glass, or related construction field.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with industry estimating software and take-off tools is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and comfortable managing large datasets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Estimating, or related discipline preferred but not required.
