About the Client
A well-established construction firm in West Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Lead Controller
to take full ownership of its accounting function. This is a fully onsite role, ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is ready to play a key role in the company's continued growth.
About the Role

Lead all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and job costing.

Prepare and present timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end statements.

Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.

Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.

Deliver financial insights to support strategic decision-making in collaboration with senior leadership.

Manage and mentor a small accounting team, fostering efficiency and accountability.

Handle WIP schedules, construction billing, and cost tracking across multiple projects.
About the Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting or controller role within the construction industry .
- Experience working for a custom home builder is strongly preferred.

Deep understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and project-based accounting.

Proficiency with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar).

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
