About the Role
Review project specifications and drawings:
- Carefully analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Identify potential challenges and risks associated with each project.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and subcontractor costs.
- Utilize estimating software and other tools to accurately calculate quantities and costs.
- Consider factors such as project complexity, site conditions, and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with project managers, sales representatives, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
- Maintain detailed records of all estimates and project information.
- Track project progress and identify any potential cost overruns.
- Keep abreast of new technologies, materials, and industry best practices.
- Attend industry events and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all applicable building codes and regulations.
- Ensure that all estimates and projects are in compliance with company quality standards
About the Candidate

High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in glazing estimation or a related field.

Strong understanding of glazing systems, materials, and installation techniques.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
