About the Role

Prepare detailed cost estimates from conceptual design through final bid submission

Perform quantity take-offs and interpret drawings and specifications

Coordinate with preconstruction, operations, and design teams to develop competitive and complete bids

Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure full project scope coverage

Maintain cost databases, bid logs, and pricing models

Assist in value engineering exercises to align project goals with budget constraints

Support senior estimating staff in proposal development and bid presentations

Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings as necessary

Integrate safety, quality, and schedule considerations into all estimates
About the Candidate
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator
to support preconstruction and bidding efforts across a variety of project types, including commercial buildings, site infrastructure, transportation, and paving. This role plays a key part in the project lifecycle by ensuring accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost proposals.

3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or infrastructure sectors

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with estimating software preferred

Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams

Knowledge of construction methods, labor and material costs, and risk management

Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
