• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial drywall, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings and associated wall systems.

• Review drawings, specifications and addenda to establish scope, identify exclusions and flag potential risks.

• Complete accurate quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material and equipment costs.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare clear, competitive proposals with accurate qualifications and scope breakdowns.

• Build relationships with general contractors, suppliers and existing clients.

• Manage multiple bids while meeting submission deadlines.

• Support post-bid reviews, negotiations and value engineering.

• Work with project managers to ensure awarded projects are handed over with clear budgets and scope information.

• Previous estimating experience with a commercial drywall or interiors subcontractor.

• Strong knowledge of drywall, metal framing and acoustical ceiling systems.

• Experience pricing larger commercial construction packages.

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.

• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as OST, Quick Bid, The EDGE or equivalent.

• Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and communication skills.

• Ability to manage your own workload and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
