My client is a leading electrical contractor specializing in large-scale commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, known for deploying highly skilled crews and delivering complex work in active, high-demand environments. They bring a structured, execution-first approach—leveraging prefabrication, strong field leadership, and tight coordination with other trades to keep projects on schedule and running efficiently. With the ability to scale manpower quickly and manage demanding timelines without sacrificing safety or quality, they consistently take ownership of their scope and deliver reliable results on projects where precision and performance matter most.
About the Role
- Lead all aspects of project execution from preconstruction through closeout on large-scale electrical projects (commercial, industrial, infrastructure)
- Manage full project P&L, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, including long-lead items
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery
- Provide leadership to project teams, including project managers, project engineers, and field supervision
- Work closely with superintendents to plan manpower, drive productivity, and maintain installation sequencing
- Identify and mitigate project risks; proactively resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, quality expectations, and company procedures
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts when needed
- Lead project meetings, reporting, and communication across all stakeholders
About the Candidate
- 8–15+ years of experience in electrical construction, with a focus on large, complex projects
- Proven track record managing projects ranging from $20M to $200M+ in electrical scope
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and job cost reporting
- Experience in high-demand sectors such as aviation, data centers, healthcare, or industrial facilities preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects or one major project simultaneously
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project sequencing
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)
