About the Client

Our client is an established electrical contractor delivering complex design-build industrial electrical projects across the Southeast.

The business has a strong track record of delivering multimillion-dollar electrical projects across a range of industrial environments, with individual projects reaching $50M in value.

Due to continued growth and long-term succession planning within the business, they are looking to strengthen their project management team with an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager.

About the Role

The Senior Electrical Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale industrial electrical projects from preconstruction through completion.

This is a senior-level position requiring someone who can independently manage projects valued between $5M and $50M, coordinate field and office teams, manage client relationships and maintain control of schedule, cost and project performance.

Projects are spread throughout NC, SC, GA and TN, so candidates should be comfortable with approximately 60–70% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage design-build industrial electrical projects from award through closeout
  • Oversee projects ranging from approximately $5M to $50M
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement and overall financial performance
  • Coordinate Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors and vendors
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, GCs, engineers and project stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, costs and profitability
  • Support preconstruction and project planning
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget
  • Travel to project sites throughout NC, SC, GA and TN as required

About the Candidate

  • Strong Electrical Project Management experience
  • Background managing industrial electrical construction projects
  • Experience with large projects, ideally $5M+
  • Design-build experience strongly preferred
  • Water/wastewater treatment experience beneficial
  • Construction Management degree preferred
  • Experience using Procore and Bluebeam
  • Comfortable travelling approximately 60–70%
  • Ideally based within approximately 30 miles of the Gastonia office
  • Strong commercial, financial and client-management capabilities

Salary & Benefits
Base Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 depending on experience
