Drywall Superintendent

A long-established General Contractor with in-house, self-performed drywall operations is seeking an experienced Drywall Superintendent to oversee commercial drywall projects in Jacksonville, Florida. While the company now operates as a GC, drywall has remained a core trade since the company’s founding in 1980.

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for self-performed drywall scopes

• Manage manpower, sequencing, and production targets

• Coordinate with project management, GC teams, and other trades

• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards

• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and layout plans

• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and jobsite logistics

• Track productivity and report progress to project management

• Enforce safety standards and maintain clean, organized jobsites

• Support inspections, punch lists, and project close-out

• Proven experience running self-performed drywall crews

• Knowledge of framing, hanging, finishing, and production sequencing

• Ability to coordinate crews and work effectively within a GC environment

• Proficient in reading construction drawings and details

• Experience on mid-to-large commercial projects

• Familiarity with GC-led project environments

• Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills
