About the Role

We are seeking a reliable Drywall Foreman to lead on-site drywall and metal framing teams on commercial construction projects throughout the Oklahoma City area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising field crews, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, extensive drywall experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades.

 

Crew Supervision & Site Leadership

  • Lead, coordinate, and motivate drywall and metal-framing crews daily.

  • Ensure proper labor allocation, task delegation, and team productivity.

  • Mentor and coach crew members, enforcing performance expectations.

Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Maintain adherence to company and industry safety standards; enforce PPE use and safe work practices.

  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors; hold toolbox talks.

  • Perform quality inspections on installed drywall, metal work, taping, finishing and other scope items.

Project Execution

  • Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

  • Plan work activities to meet milestones and daily production targets.

  • Coordinate material staging, deliveries, waste removal, and housekeeping.

Communication

  • Facilitate clear communication between field crews and project management.

  • Report daily progress, manpower hours, issues, and productivity challenges.

  • Work collaboratively with general contractor representatives and other trade foremen.

Problem Solving

  • Identify obstacles to progress and escalate appropriately.

  • Implement practical solutions in real time to minimize delays.

About the Candidate

Mandatory
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial drywall experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman capacity.

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and manage field crews effectively.

  • Strong understanding of drywall installation, joint finishing, metal framing systems, acoustical work, and related specialty products.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans and specifications.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification.

  • Prior leadership experience on healthcare, institutional, or large commercial job sites.

  • Familiarity with standard construction site equipment and best practices.


Working Conditions
  • Full-day on-site role in active construction environments.

  • Requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting materials regularly.

  • Occasional requirement to work extended hours or weekends to meet project deadlines.
