The Role

My client is seeking an experienced Drywall Foreman to join their team and oversee field operations on large commercial projects. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity for someone who is hands-on, safety-focused, and capable of leading crews while ensuring top-quality finishes.

This position will play a key role in coordinating site activities, maintaining productivity, and upholding company standards across high-profile projects in the DMV area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on-site drywall crews across large commercial projects

• Plan daily activities, allocate manpower, and monitor progress to ensure schedules are met

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; ensure works are executed to design intent

• Maintain quality control and deliver defect-free work

• Coordinate with other trades, subcontractors, and project leadership to resolve site issues

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and site safety requirements, holding regular toolbox talks

• Track labor hours, job progress, materials usage, and prepare daily field reports

• Mentor and develop junior team members, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial drywall projects, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role

• Strong technical knowledge of drywall systems, metal stud framing, taping, and finishing

• Ability to read and work from architectural and structural drawings

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews effectively

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• OSHA knowledge and a strong focus on jobsite safety

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to multiple sites across the DMV
