Drywall Foreman

Join an established, merit shop commercial drywall contractor specializing in interior fit outs for offices, schools, apartments, medical centers, restaurants, museums, and more — typically projects ranging from $150,000 to $3 million. We currently have around 60 people company wide, with a 7 person office team and 2 full time estimators. We pride ourselves on collaborative, high quality work and support for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of drywall crew members including installers, finishers, and laborers

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan drywall layouts and installations

• Inspect work progress to ensure quality standards, code compliance, and adherence to project timelines

• Manage daily job site activities, ensuring productivity and safety protocols are followed

• Order and track materials, tools, and equipment required for the project

• Liaise with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate workflow

• Train new workers in drywall techniques and company standards

• Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that may arise on site

• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce job site safety procedures

• Maintain detailed reports of labor hours, materials used, and project updates

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in drywall installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

• In-depth knowledge of drywall systems, including hanging, taping, finishing, and patching

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and job site safety practices

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various physical environments
