Drafter - Curtain Wall/ Storefronts

An established commercial glazing contractor is looking to hire an experienced Architectural Glass & Storefront Draftsman to join their in-house team.

The ideal candidate will have 5–6+ years of drafting experience within the commercial glazing industry, with strong knowledge of storefront, curtain wall, architectural glass and architectural metal systems.

This is a hands-on drafting position for someone who enjoys producing detailed drawings and working closely with project teams.

• Produce detailed shop drawings and construction details for commercial glazing projects.
• Draft storefront, curtain wall, architectural glass and metal systems.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections and installation details.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Incorporate comments and revisions into drawing packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators and field personnel.
• Assist with resolving technical and detailing issues.
• Maintain accurate drawing files and revisions.
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and within project deadlines.

• 5–6+ years of relevant drafting experience.
• Commercial glazing experience is required.
• Strong experience with storefront and/or curtain wall.
• Knowledge of architectural glass and metal systems.
• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
