Commercial Plumber

Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber to join a reputable mechanical contractor in the Tampa area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing installations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance across ground-up and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, fixtures, and piping.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Perform layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems (copper, PVC, cast iron, etc.).

• Conduct testing of systems for leaks, flow, pressure, and compliance.

• Collaborate with foremen, superintendents, and GC teams to ensure projects stay on schedule.

• Maintain adherence to local plumbing codes and company safety standards.

• Troubleshoot system issues and provide practical on-site solutions.

• Mentor apprentices/labourers where needed.

• 3–5+ years of commercial plumbing experience (healthcare, schools, office, industrial, etc.).

• Strong understanding of Florida plumbing code.

• Ability to work from drawings and coordinate with other trades.

• Proficient in soldering, brazing, threading, and installing various piping materials.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass background and drug screening if required.

• Journeyman Plumber license preferred, not essential.
