About the Role

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. This role will focus primarily on servicing and installing electrical systems in school buildings throughout the Orlando area. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial electrical work, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in public and private school buildings.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction documents.

  • Ensure installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.

  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical issues.

  • Collaborate with general contractors, school facilities staff, and project managers.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site.

  • Document all work performed, including materials used and time spent.

About the Candidate

Qualifications:
  • Valid Florida Journeyman Electrician License (or higher).

  • 3+ years of experience as a commercial electrician; school or institutional work preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial building codes.

  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, or in confined spaces.

  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background check (required for school sites).


Nice to Have:

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

  • Experience working with low-voltage systems, fire alarms, or intercoms.

  • Familiarity with energy-efficient systems and retrofitting older buildings.
