Drywall Estimator

Join an established, merit?shop commercial drywall contractor specializing in interior fit?outs for offices, schools, apartments, medical centers, restaurants, museums, and more — typically projects ranging from $150,000 to $3 million. We currently have around 60 people company?wide, with a 7?person office team and 2 full?time estimators. We pride ourselves on collaborative, high?quality work and support for professional growth.

We are seeking a Drywall Estimator experienced in OST and Quick Bid, with occasional use of Stack, to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial drywall projects. Candidates with a Bluebeam take?off background are welcome—but applicants must be skilled in those primary software tools and should not rely on Excel for estimating.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct take?offs using OST, Quick Bid, and Stack as needed.

• Review architectural drawings and specifications to determine project scope.

• Estimate costs including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors for projects valuing $150K–$3M.

• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with budgets and expectations.

• Prepare bid proposals, clarifications, and value?engineering insights.

• Assist on job walks when required to gather insights about site conditions.

• Maintain awareness of market cost trends, labor rates, and material pricing.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience working with OST, Quick Bid, and optionally Stack.

• Bluebeam proficiency is acceptable as a foundation, but you must be willing and able to use OST/Quick Bid primarily.

• NO Excel estimating—we require estimating performed directly in the approved software.

• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and communication skills.

• Background in estimating commercial drywall projects (offices, healthcare, education, etc.).
