About the Role

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a results-driven market leader to support growth across industrial recovery and environmental service operations within the HVAC/R sector. This hybrid leadership role combines field operations, customer-facing business development, and technician oversight, making it ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments while driving operational performance and revenue growth.

This individual will oversee field technicians, support day-to-day recovery and exchange operations, develop new customer relationships, and identify opportunities to expand service offerings within the assigned territory. The role requires a balance of leadership, field execution, customer service, and sales acumen in a fast-paced operational environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a background in HVAC/R services, environmental or industrial field operations, business development, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Field Operations

• Lead and support field technicians by coordinating schedules, equipment readiness, staffing priorities, and operational execution
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight to ensure strong team development and accountability
• Monitor operational performance metrics, service quality, and customer satisfaction
• Serve as the primary field liaison between technicians, operations leadership, and internal support teams

Business Development & Customer Growth

• Identify and develop new customer relationships within the assigned territory
• Conduct in-person meetings, site visits, and follow-up communications to promote service offerings and operational solutions
• Expand existing customer relationships and increase participation in service programs
• Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline management, and opportunity updates within CRM systems
• Coordinate closely with customer service, operations, finance, and sales teams to support scheduling, invoicing, and customer follow-up

Recovery & Service Operations

• Operate service/recovery equipment and support field recovery operations across various customer applications
• Assist with exchange and logistical support activities when operationally necessary
• Ensure all field activities comply with company procedures, EPA regulations, DOT requirements, and safety protocols
• Complete work orders, operational documentation, shipping paperwork, and reporting accurately and on time
• Represent the organization professionally in the field while building strong customer relationships through service excellence

About the Candidate

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience within HVAC/R, industrial services, refrigerant handling, environmental services, or related technical field operations

• Demonstrated success in outside sales, territory growth, account management, or business development activities

• 3–5 years of experience leading, coordinating, or managing field service or technical personnel

• EPA 608 Universal Certification required

• OSHA certifications or willingness to obtain additional safety certifications strongly preferred

• CDL and/or HazMat endorsement preferred but not required

• Comfortable working in hands-on field environments involving equipment operation, cylinder handling, and physical labor

• Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and relationship-building skills

• Proficient with CRM systems, digital work orders, mobile applications, and field technology platforms

• Clean driving record with willingness to travel throughout assigned territory

• Must be eligible to obtain required transportation/compliance certifications upon hire

• Position subject to applicable DOT and safety compliance requirements following employment
